CB Hot Suit Takes: Tim Evans, Founder, 2045

CB Hot Suit Takes is our new Q&A series for extremely busy CEOs and senior leaders across the industry ~ covering careers, creativity, challenges and the song that sums it all up. Next in the hot seat is Tim Evans, Founder, 2045.

1. What made you get into advertising?

I got kicked out of my Software Development degree for cheating.

2. Which piece of work are you most proud of, and why?

This is corny, but as the son of an immigrant, the chance to create the digital ecosystem for Australia 10 years ago (😳) is still a highlight. This video (below) features a very young Timmy talking to the big dogs of Tourism Aus.

3. What’s the biggest challenge you face in your role right now?

I’m finding it much easier as a second time founder. The holdcos are struggling – you should probably ask them 😂.

4. What’s the most recent thing you’ve learned – professionally or personally?

Three martini lunches are back.

5. Now for some fun, what song best sums up your career so far?

“Damn It Feels Good To Be A Gangsta” (Explicit) by Geto Boys.
