Nando’s now with Sunday Gravy after pitch that included M&C Saatchi and Howatson + Company
Campaign Brief can reveal that Melbourne-based agency Sunday Gravy has won the Nando’s business after a pitch that included M&C Saatchi and Howatson + Company.
Says Darren Hampton, customer and brand director ANZ – Nando’s Australia: “Since joining the team and the market, we’ve been on the hunt for a creative partner that can help match our lofty ambitions for the brand across Australia and New Zealand. One of the founding values of the business has always been ‘it’s the people that make the chicken’ and this sentiment holds true for all partners involved in building the brand to what it is today. We are primed for further growth, that’s thanks largely to the people and partners that have added their own distinct flavour over the years.
“The pitch process is taxing on agencies, so we wanted to keep the shortlist and process tight. We’re thrilled to start working with the talented Sunday Gravy team, who from the first meeting showed an understanding of the market and tone of work that stacked up perfectly.”
Says Ant White, creative founder, Sunday Gravy: “Nando’s came to us with a clear challenge and big ambitions – and we are incredibly proud of the work we are doing together to answer that brief. We cannot wait to collaborate with the team to play a role in helping this incredible brand reach its potential here in Australia.”
They haven’t done any work since they pitched it 3 years ago!
I thought this went to SDWM last year? https://campaignbrief.com/nandos-appoints-sdwm-and-untangld-as-new-agencies-following-a-competitive-pitch/
Now that’s something I’d pay good money for. Coincidence? I think not.
All their work has been terrible so far
Seem to have burnt through a few agencies over the years?
Can’t wait to eat some chicken. So good for muscle recovery
The gravy train is coming 👏👏👏
Loved what they did with Hunt & Brew. Good luck.
Hopefully they bring back everyone’s favourite stripper Mum – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SQyN3k_FXU
Can Nando’s actually try make some good chicken in this country? Their competition is killing it. Nowhere near as good as Nando’s in the UK.
