Former HERO National ECD Shane Geffen joins Ogilvy Melbourne as Group Creative Director

Shane Geffen has announced his return to Ogilvy, revealing the move on LinkedIn as Group Creative Director, based in Melbourne.

Says Geffen: “A decade later, I’m back at Ogilvy. Let’s get it. Just gimme a minute to finish compliance training.”

The move comes after Geffen departed HERO in June this year, following nearly five years at the agency. Geffen joined the business in 2021 as ECD and was elevated to National ECD in 2024.

As National ECD of HERO, Geffen helped transform the agency into one of Australia’s most recognised creative shops, named Campaign Brief’s No.1 Mid-Sized Agency of the Year two years running, as well as the country’s top-ranked agency at the New York Festivals and MADSTARS.

Prior to HERO, Geffen held senior creative roles at Ogilvy, DDB, Clemenger BBDO and VML.
