BCF appoints 72andSunny as new creative agency
BCF has appointed 72andSunny as its new creative agency after a brand review, parting ways with The Monkeys, which has held the account since 2019.
72andSunny will be partnering with the BCF team to create the strategic and creative playbook that will inform all their brand communications moving forward, as well as developing future advertising campaigns.
Says Nick Boyden, GM, eCommerce and marketing, BCF: “We were impressed by the world class strategic and creative capabilities of the 72andSunny team but most of all we loved the experience working with them. They’re super collaborative with an easy style that felt very us. Almost from day one they felt like an extension of our team which we love.”
Says Ross Berthinussen, CEO, 72andSunny ANZ: “We’re stoked to be partnering with this team of legends to build such an iconic Aussie brand. It has a rich heritage of great creative work that will be a heap of fun to build upon.”

MONKEYS fired wow
“A heap of fun to build upon.”
BCF-ing fun?
Can someone please tell me what the monkeys did to get fired off this account. I thought SUper Retail Group loved them? Bunnings??
From one CMO to another, if it aint broke dont try to fix it mate.
I don’t know what the background to this decision is but ………
Monkeys, I loved ‘BCF’n fun’. It was and remains one of my favourites.
For the record, Monkeys didn’t come up with the platform. Clems did.
It was Ant when he was at Clems
No one moves an account for no reason.
BCF executions have been getting less and less funny. And the comments from the client rep about their new agency are about loving the easygoing relationship when working with them. So perhaps there was ongoing tension about the upholding of creative standards?
Based on the creative work they are doing for superCheap auto i’d be surprised if this is the case. Or maybe your right and BCF didnt want to make the same level of creativity.
