Clemenger BBDO Sydney was a major improver in 2019, with several campaigns destined to pick up metal in 2020.
Notable work included Extra ‘Reminder cash register’; Code Like a Girl + Creatable ‘Losing Lena’; Boss Coffee ‘How Japan Can’; Eclipse ‘Real love stories retold’; Gumtree ‘List it – join the second hand economy’; Pedigree ‘Donate with a mate’; Tourism Tasmania ‘Come down for air’ (digital).
Highlights in 2019 include being named AWARD Agency of the Year with 6 different campaigns winning a total of 28 awards, taking out Best in Show at the Sirens, double Golds at Caples and Spikes, plus wins at Cannes, NY Festivals and The One Show.
Clemenger BBDO Sydney had a big new business year, gaining 15 brands (10 local, 2 global, 3 pure digital) and contributed to the Clemenger Group win of the prized Samsung business. No client losses.
Financially, the agency delivered 11+% profit, off a significant base (billings $150+m). Staff grew 10%, currently 78 FTE’s.
