It’s a long way to the top in the new AFL Finals campaign via George Patterson Y&R, Melbourne
Legendary You Am I front man, and passionate AFL fan, Tim Rogers is reunited with AC/DC’s “Long Way to the Top” in this year’s AFL Finals campaign via GPY&R Melbourne
In the new TV spot, Rogers takes viewers on a metaphorical journey that riffs on the iconic AC/DC song to show that there’s nothing quite like being at an AFL Finals game, to witness greatness.
The campaign launches during Channel Seven’s Footy telecast tonight, and is also supported across print, radio and digital.

Interesting that the only Essendon player they showed wasn’t at the club during their doping year/s.
Now, that bloody well gets you pumped up!
Now that’s what a footy ad should be like. Loud, proud, and unashamedly punchy. Looks bloody great too. Well done.
Is that Robert Carlyle?
I thought they were going to play the Long Way to the Top Song
Was disappointed and the ad was not that uplifting
It is a long way to the top, and from the look of this ad, the journey has yet to begin.
Even as an editorial exercise, it’s undercooked, and truthfully that’s all it is really.
@keep walking
No, it’s that guy from Verve.
Patts used to be so good.
What happened?
Still looks and feels a lot like Fox Sports Gotta Love Your League NRL campaign starring Brendan Cowell guys.
