whiteGREY Melbourne appoints Nomfundo Msomi to the role of head of strategy

whiteGREY has today announces the appointment of Nomfundo Msomi as head of strategy, leading the strategy offering at whiteGREY Melbourne.

Currently global head of brand at a leading international airline, Msomi leads the strategic direction of the brand across all markets. Prior to this, she led strategy and social media teams at Isobar in Hong Kong and has held the position as strategy director at brand transformation company FITCH, leading Greater China, APAC and global clients across all verticals.

Leveraging her experience working with some of the world’s leading brands including Nike, P&G, LVMH, IKEA, Bupa, NBC, BMW and Unilever, Nomfundo will work closely with chief strategy officer, Simon Wassef, to further strengthen the whiteGREY strategy offer.

Says Wassef: “‘This is what whiteGREY is all about: world-class talents who make world-class work. Nomfundo is exactly that. She’s X-shaped. She operates at the intersections of brand, design, experience and business strategy, where the tensions are.”

Msomi started her career as a Fellow of WPP’s highly selective global Marketing Fellowship program. This program, which garnered thousands of applicants each year, developed talent through agencies, disciplines and geographies and provided a platform for Msomi to experience various strategy roles in London, New York and APAC.

Says Msomi: “I am delighted to be joining the whiteGREY team and to be returning to the WPP group once more. The agency has produced globally recognised work across a broad spectrum of disciplines, and I’m excited to be part of the journey. I can’t wait to bring my mix of experience to the team and contribute to whiteGREY’s ongoing success.”

This latest appointment is one of several new additions across whiteGREY’s strategy and experience teams, including Brooke Thompson who joined as strategy director and Scott Nolan who joined as experience design lead.
