VMLY&R Melbourne launches Crown Sydney website and expands creative technology + CX capabilities across its client roster

Following a competitive pitch last year, VMLY&R Melbourne was appointed by Crown Resorts to develop the digital strategy and experience design for Crown’s new hotel and entertainment precinct, opening in early 2021 at Barangaroo, Sydney.

In the first work introduced to market since the agency’s appointment, Crown has launched its new website – crownsydney.com.au – setting the tone for its lavish new premises. It previews the stylish rooms, quality restaurants and the personalized service guests can expect from the impressive structure, which despite not being completed, is already achieving icon-status on the Sydney skyline.

Says Jon Kenyon, managing partner, VMLY&R Melbourne: “We are super proud of the work and partnership we have already formed with the Crown team. The first release of the site is only the beginning, as deeper more personalised functionality is developed and launched throughout the year.

“We have huge ambitions for the agency’s digital and technology offerings this year, with a series of projects already underway and more in the pipeline.”

In addition to delivering ongoing digital work for Crown, VMLY&R Melbourne is also working with long-standing global client, Ford, on a series of CX sprints plus developing several immersive virtual reality experiences for Monash University, pushing the Future Without Change brand platform into the creative technology space.

Says Sarah Bailey, managing partner, VMLY&R Melbourne: “The diversity of our digital and technology work is really exciting. These capabilities allow us to bring real value to the table for our clients and promotes a culture of learning across the entire agency. Our team has the opportunity to work on a broad range of projects which is something we’re really passionate about.”

VMLY&R Melbourne also counts Defence Force Recruiting, Australia Post, MTIA, Department of Transport and Australian Unity among its client roster.

VMLY&R Melbourne is one of five VMLY&R offices across Australia and NZ, and is part of WPP AUNZ, Australasia’s leading creative transformation company.
