VML Brisbane Executive Creative Director Ben Davis departs agency after three years in the role

After three years as executive creative director of VML Brisbane, Ben Davis has departed the agency to go freelance, before launching a new venture later this year.

Prior to VML Brisbane Davis spent 11 years at McCann. Davis first joined McCann Melbourne (then SMART) in 2010 as associate creative director and then relocated to the Brisbane office in 2016 to take up the role of executive creative director.

During Davis’ time at VML Brisbane, the agency won a staggering amount of business, cleaned up at the BADC Awards time and time again as the highest performing agency with the most overall wins for 2021, 2022 and 2023 and over indexed on its contribution to Campaign Brief’s THE WORK to elevate the network to #1 nationally.

Davis told CB: “My three years leading the Brisbane agency were the highlight of my career and what we achieved in those three years was incredible. But I’m most proud of the people and the team I leave behind. They’re the best humans, with big hearts and they’re about to really hit their straps! I hope my leadership gave them the space and security to unleash their finest creative abilities. I wish them and the entire agency, only all the very best.”
