Visa Australia has launched a new campaign via Clemenger BBDO Sydney titled ‘The Future We’re Working On’.

Nowhere near as good as that older Visa spot with the fish falling out of the sky.
A nice idea that counters every other tech brand’s vision of what the future will look like. Solid work.
Utter rubbish.
This is planner driven shit. You want (insert generic planner prop that is so broad it says nothing to the consumer) we are working on it (because our product is shit and we aren’t quite there yet. Sorry guys).
When the robots (aka planners) take over the creative department, that’s when advertising is well and truly fucked and this is showing very clear signs of that.
Especially when they’ve blown so much on planning that they’ve had to use stock photography to bring this to life.
Pants.
Not one to rubbish things on this site, but it feels very lame to use the generic Getty images stock wallpaper shots. I give VISA money like every other purchase, can’t they afford to shoot something with some life or Australian context in it? The overly oiled up, waxed chest dude getting a coffee is kind of hilarious! You just so believe it was him getting tubed… not really trying are they.
