Victoria Bitter supports cricket this summer with ‘Live Ashes Scoreboard’ promo launch via Buzz
In an Australian first, cricket-mad fans can keep up with all the Ashes action this summer with Victoria Bitter giving away Live Ashes Scoreboards, via Buzz, which stream live scores direct from the ground into people’s homes, sheds or workplaces.
Says Richard Oppy, general manager of Victoria Bitter: “Hard working Aussie blokes love their summer cricket and can’t wait for the Ashes but they may not have time to sit down and watch five days of Test Cricket, so we have developed the Live Ashes Scoreboard.”
Delivering live match updates into Australian homes, the replica Victoria Bitter scoreboards remotely connect to your home Wi-Fi network to track every ball, run, wicket and milestone of the Ashes in real time. Featuring commentary from cricketing legend Ian Healy, the Live Ashes Scoreboard will also broadcast every official Australian game until March 2015.
The scoreboard also plays the Victoria Bitter theme song when it’s time to knock off and watch the last hour of play.
Says Oppy: “Through the interactive App, the Scoreboard can even be used to keep score for your backyard cricket matches on rest days or at the tea break.”
In another major first, as part of the national campaign Victoria Bitter is building giant versions of the scoreboards at super sites across the eastern seaboard.
The outdoor scoreboards, unveiled today in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne are over 6 meters high and 15 meters wide and will deliver live match updates to all who pass by.
Inspired by the iconic heritage scoreboard at the Adelaide Oval, the Victoria Bitter scoreboards will ensure hard working Aussies never miss a moment of the Ashes action this summer.
Victoria Bitter has had a big year; returning to full flavour and full strength in October last year, which has seen sales continue to grow for the last 12 months.
Says Oppy: “This big summer campaign will help keep the momentum going on what has been a solid performance for Victoria Bitter turning around a decade of declining sales.
“We want to make sure beer drinkers are enjoying the big cold beer over what we hope will be a long and hot summer across Australia. A win in the Ashes would put the icing on the cake.”
The scoreboards will be given away as part of Victoria Bitter’s big summer campaign underway in venues across Australia.
To win one of 1,000 Live Ashes Scoreboards, Victoria Bitter lovers can enter through the on-pack promotion.
The three outdoor Victoria Bitter Live Ashes Scoreboards are located:
Sydney – 647 George St, Sydney CBD
Melbourne – St Kilda Junction, St Kilda
Brisbane – the intersection of Main and Vulture St, Woolloongabba

or you could just check the score on your iphone.
want one.
You don’t really want one. I won one. I’m fairly computer savvy. Two days later I’m still trying to hook it up. My phone won’t even allow the app to be downloaded, my tablet will but no luck connecting. I’ll try the help line tomorrow.
where is the symbol on the Victoria bitter scoreboard
Can I please have the live ashes scoreboard because i rarely get to turn on the the TV because I’m always at work. If I had this then I would be able to look at the score when I am work.
Please, Please, Please can I get the ‘Live Ashes Scoreboard’.

Been trying to check to see if i won anything with my vb card from pup cant find anything Darwin
Useless piece of JUNK !! VB even tells you it won’t work !!! Doesn’t download app to most smartphones. Don’t waste your money buying VB to win one of these bits of garbage. Even radio turns itself off ! Only thing that works on it is the mechanical clock on top, all the rest of it doesn’t work. Best to be used as a doorstop or as an anchor for your boat!!!

did not work with Samsung galaxy s2 after numerous attempts. Worked with
iPhone 4S. Am radio reception no good. Needs an extended aerial. Speaker must be cheap. Horrible tinny sound. Other then that its still cool. If you won won great. I had to pay for one.
Anyone that doesn’t want theirs, working or not, I’ll be happy to buy it from you, email me if your interested. Adamhenley83@gmail.com
Hi,
what sit do i go to tooenter scoreboard comp
cheers wayne
I am trying to find the entry on your web for the competition on your stubby cartons for the Victoria BitterLive Cricket Watch it was meant to open on the
10th of this month (nov) but as of today (13th) I can find no trace of it. Even
when I type in the competions name I have no joy. Is this a competition? or is it
just an advertising ploy. Hoping you can find time to answer me
thanks Terry
My clock worked great when I won it. Only downside is I needed to borrow an I phone to do the app. Shame it only worked for that season and not this season (summer16/17)
