Droga5 founder and creative chairman David Droga recognised in the 2012 Advance Global Australian Awards for Creative Industries
The Advance Global Australian Awards celebrates Australians living overseas, who exhibit remarkable talent, exceptional vision, ambition and who are future leaders and innovators in their chosen field. They are the only awards to recognise the important contributions of the more than one million Australians living abroad.
In a presentation ceremony held in Sydney yesterday, David Droga, founder and creative chairman of Droga5, was awarded for his service to creative industry.
A distinguished group of Australian provocateurs and pioneers, who themselves have made a significant impact on the global stage, selected the winners.
The panel included Ken Allen AM, Founder and Chairman Emeritus of Advance; Bridget Ogilvie AC, who was appointed Companion of the Order of Australia (AC) for service to science in the field of biomedical research; former Senior Vice President of IBM, Doug Elix AO; and Australian actress, Deborra-lee Furness.

does he work for Nobby?
Congratulations DD. Shame we Aussies can be Knighted any more – otherwise that would be next!! You are certainly topping the list of great Aussie exports this year!
Big congratulations Dave – you’re a credit to Australia and the industry.
I think you should have a big lunch at Cannes and invite all your Aussie mates to celebrate?? Eden Rock I hear is good!!
It only seems like yesterday he topped AWARD School and designed that lovely cover for the AWARD Annual.
Matty, perhaps you meant ‘can’t’, rather than its polar opposite ‘can’. Kinda changes its meaning, dontcha think?
Absolute legend. From his first day, he was the guy we all watched.
Interesting…the creatives are folding their arms in their PR shots again.
There will be much feasting and mounting to celebrate this glorious victory, bro.
