LIGHT ARC has returned for ‘Stranger Spring’ at The Galeries in collaboration with VANDAL. See it, smell it, hear it and taste it…
‘Stranger Spring’ is an obscure, immersive sensory experience of all things Spring. Collaborating with London-based art duo, Alexa Sirbu & Lukas Vojir, ‘Stranger Spring’ see the LIGHT ARC complemented with sound, smell and taste.
Art duo Sirbu and Vojir have worked with some of the world’s best known design studios before establishing their own style. Using computer-generated imagery and simulation tools guided by artistic intent, they create surreal worlds rendered in hyper-real, tactile detail. The smooth, flowing motion of their artworks bathe their graphic designs in organic surrealism, creating florals from another dimension.
The Galeries LIGHT ARC by VANDAL has returned with a whole new look for Stranger Spring. The visually stunning alien flowers bring Spring to the retail precinct in the strangest and most surreal way. These alien flowers from another dimension have grown into another platform with their very own bespoke Instagram filter.
The LIGHT ARC is now complemented with it’s very own Stranger scent. This intriguing scent amplifies the inter-dimensional experience of Stranger Spring. Stand under the LIGHT ARC on ground level to smell for yourself.
Strange sounds can also be heard around the LIGHT ARC. This surreal soundscape surrounds the LIGHT ARC with sensory-based acoustic waves, transporting you to another dimension.
Exciting limited-edition flavours are scattered across The Galeries at dining experiences such as Black Star Pastry, T Totaler, Jimmy’s Recipe and more.
Commissioned by Vicinity Centres for The Galeries in the heart of Sydney’s CBD, LIGHT ARC by VANDAL is a digital placemaking art installation conceived as an interactive 3-dimensional canvas for artistic expression and retail activation.
Head to The Galeries, 500 George Street Sydney, to experience the stranger side of Spring.
