Valvoline Raceway appoints Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney’s Steve May to brand manager position
Valvoline Raceway has expanded its administration line-up with the appointment of Steve May to the position of brand manager.
May leaves the creative department of Saatchi & Saatchi to take the seemingly unusual step of heading to the world of speedway racing.
Says May: “It just felt the normal, next step: creative to clay track. Look, it’s not often you get a chance to combine two passions and make a career out of it, so when I was asked to join the team, I jumped at the chance. Now it’s pedal to the metal to help make this unique motorsport the best it can be.”
Says Steve Green, managing director, Valvoline Raceway: “It really is an exciting time for all of us and I can’t wait to bring race fans some new and ground-breaking concepts. The perspective Steve brings from ‘outside the square’ (or on this case oval) has already been evident in the processes he’s collaborated on this season at the Speedway.”
