UnLtd launches ‘Lockdown Survival Guide for Adland’ to help the industry get through

UnLtd, the creative, media and marketing industry’s social purpose organisation has published a “Lockdown Survival Guide for Adland” to support the many people in the industry living in lockdown in Melbourne.

The free 60-page guide includes lockdown lessons, tips and recommendations from 50 people across the Melbourne advertising industry. The book includes recommendations on best books, podcasts, on-demand shows, industry content and the funniest viral content.

Says Tiffany Damm, general manager Melbourne at UnLtd: “The second lockdowns have hit everyone hard in Melbourne. Whilst we can’t take away the discomfort and uncertainty of the situation, we wanted to do something to help make the time in lockdown more bearable and a little more entertaining. Our industry is full of amazing like-minded people with great taste for good content. So we asked fifty of our industry friends for their tips for everyone to enjoy.”

The guide includes practical lockdown tips ranging from walking calls and creating a consistent routine to coming up with fictious people to blame things on to keep the peace in your household.

Adds Damm: “We are very fortunate to work in an industry full of smart, talented and passionate people and it’s great to have so many of us share their recommendations to help us all keep entertained. A big thank you to everyone who took part in the book to share their tips. This book is by Melbourne, for Melbourne – and for anyone else who might want some fresh content.”

Sam Harris, Melbourne agency sales director at ARN shared his lockdown lesson in the book: “One thing I’ve learnt is that we work in the best industry going around – a unique industry like no other.  We all know each other, have healthy rivalries amongst media agencies and media publishers and yet are all still mates. So when times get tough like this, it is so rewarding to see people support each other and stay connected. Our relationship based industry that loves to coffee, lunch, dinner, drink and socialise will become stronger and genuinely more connected as a result of these tougher times.”
