Cross Processed.jpgMelbourne based production company Truce Films has relocated to the brand new facilities at The Backlot Studios in Southbank, Melbourne. The move comes on the back of a busy start to 2013 for the creative team that has resulted in a need for more space and extra personnel.

It has already been a big year for Truce, kicking things off with a win at Tropfest in February with their short film We’ve All Been There, directed by Nicholas Clifford and starring Laura Wheelwright and Penne Hackforth-Jones.

For the past two years Truce have been the driving force behind the RMIT University ‘Author Of My Own Story’ campaign, whilst also producing TVCs for brands including Caltex, Cadbury and Goodness Superfoods.

Says Michael Ciccone, Truce producer: “They are exciting times at the minute, it feels like a lot is happening and we couldn’t be happier with the way things are working out. The Backlot Studios are first class and it feels as though we are now in the perfect position to take our production company to the next level.”

The Backlot Studios provide theatrical distribution services and private screening facilities in a premium and non-commercial 78-seat cinema.

Says Ciccone: “Its amazing to have something like that at our disposal. We can take clients or agencies in and they can watch their product up on the big screen. I think it is one of those elements that will make the experience of advertising something that is very special.”
