Travel media company Ink appoints WeThinkMedia as exclusive advertising representative in OZ + NZ

Global travel media company Ink has appointed WeThinkMedia as its exclusive advertising representative in Australia and New Zealand, effective immediately.

Ink creates award-winning content and bespoke advertising solutions, engaging more than 800 million people a year through dozens of airline and travel brand partnerships worldwide.

Ink works with companies including American Airlines, Cebu Pacific, easyJet, Etihad Airways, Norwegian, United Airlines, Singapore Airlines and Virgin Atlantic.

Ink selected WeThinkMedia for its extensive relationships with Australian and New Zealand media agencies and advertisers and its position as Australia’s largest independent media representation business.

Says Ric Stockfis, APAC managing director, Ink: “Ink places brands in front of millions of real consumers at every step of their journey by producing engaging multi-channel content that inspires people to travel and drives conversations. Austral-Asia is a key growth market for us as we all witness the world travel market double in size by 2035. WeThinkMedia’s deep understanding of the media markets in Australia and New Zealand is key to us at Ink and makes them the ideal partner to help build our business in the region.”

Says Peter Wiltshire, founder and director, WeThinkMedia: “Ink is already shaping the future of travel media with their multi-channel and award-winning content. We are thrilled to be working with them as they have created new and excellent commercial media opportunities that help brands grow. Ink capitalises on the fact that 94% of business travellers read the inflight magazine and that passengers are 50% more engaged in consuming media onboard than on the ground. We can’t wait to present the Ink offer to our agency and advertiser clients.”

Ink-generated stories come to life in magazines, inflight entertainment portals, video, lounge experiences, websites and social media channels. Ink also offers digital targeted advertising solutions on essential travel documents placed directly into the hands of consumers, such as boarding passes. At every point on a traveller’s journey, Ink has a passenger’s attention.

Ink joins WeThinkMedia’s portfolio of leading media brands which includes The New York Times, CNBC, New Zealand digital outdoor company LUMO, and foundation client MediaWorks New Zealand.
