Tickets are now on sale for the Vivid Ideas panel ‘How Millennials Will Destroy and Save Us’, held at the MCA Sydney on Tuesday, 4 June 2019. The panel will bring together some of Australian media’s brightest minds to talk about the topic people love to hate – millennials.

Says Karen Ferry, AWARD School co-head and Gruen panellist, who will be moderating the discussion: “This panel aims to get the crux of how millennials – myself being one of them – plan to run a world that’s predicted to become climatically uninhabitable by 2040. Will we destroy it, or will we actually save it?”

This future-planning event is set to provide integral consumer-driven insight into the motives, influences and choices of Australia’s largest demographic. Ferry says the discussion will also explore what Australians can expect when this much-maligned demographic takes over society’s helm in the next eight years.

The all-millennial lineup will include Chris Wirashna, co-founder of Pedestrian; Natalie Smith, strategy director at R/GA; Mikaela Aitken, former Monocle and now Inspiring Cities; and Naaman Zhou, reporter for the Guardian Australia.

Says Ferry: “This well-rounded panel of thought leaders will provide marketers and business innovators with some future-focused insight into consumer trends, long-term forecasting for brands, and how worldwide behaviours will impact their business models.”
