Thinkerbell has announced a significant promotion and a series of new senior hires across the business.

Grant Anderson has been promoted internally to take on the role of national head production tinker, working across Thinkerbell North and South, and taking control of all production departments within Thinkerbell. Anderson also takes control of The Little Green Book, Thinkerbell’s curation and management system of production and implementation collaborators.

There have been several new senior hires at Thinkerbell, who are representative of the breadth of the Thinkerbell offering. The new hires are:

● Shannon Crowe – head creative tinker. Crowe is one of Australia’s most lauded creative minds and See It Be It alumni. During her time at Clemenger BBDO she developed Snickers Hungerithm, before branching off to work independently with clients, agencies and tech companies all around the world.

Says Crowe: “I’ve lost pitches to Thinkerbell too many times to remember. Can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em!”

● Nic Buckingham – head creative tinker, Lion: Buckingham returns to Australia from the US where he was group creative director at David&Goliath. There he was best known for his work on The Grammys, Intel and Fruit of the Loom.

Says Buckingham: “I love beer, and I love what Thinkerbell are doing so this should be fun.”

● Krystel Jenkins (nee Houghton) – group head thinker: Jenkins brings 15 years’ experience to Thinkerbell, most recently from CX Lavender, where she was business head across the Westpac Group. A kiwi gal with a real passion for customer centricity and creativity.

Says Jenkins: “It’s pure delight to be joining the impressive Thinkerbell team. Looking forward to experiencing and creating many magical moments for our Clients and customers.”

● Josh Gurgiel- head media thinker: Frustrated lawyer turned media maven Gurgiel joins from oOh! Media where he was head of strategic client solutions. Gurgiel has also spent time at Carat and OMD working across several major film distribution clients.

Says Gurgiel: “One of the reasons I joined Thinkerbell was I wanted to work in a really creatively driven agency that takes media and measurement seriously.”

● Anjana Khallouf – national head earned and owned thinker: A career PR, content and social expert with trans-Tasman experience, Khallouf was most recently head of OMD Create where she was responsible for building and driving OMD Melbourne’s social, PR, content and partnership division.

Says Khallouf: “My career highlights have always resulted from true collaboration with our creative partners, not us vs. them, so when I realised that this was the magic of Thinkerbell’s model, and that they are the Best PR Agency in Australia for the second year running, it felt like the only place for me to be.”

Says Margie Reid, CEO of Thinkerbell: “We are delighted to welcome to the family such an experienced and well lauded group of individuals.Thinkerbell has a unique model and practices ‘measured magic’ across creative, media and PR outputs. The new people create an even stronger bench for Thinkerbell.”
