Campaign Brief recognises and showcases the great work that is being produced in the region with The Work 2022 Contenders…

Sydney Morning Herald & The Age: Minds Wide Open
Agency: BMF
Production: Sedona
Director: Patrick Clair
It’s nice to know what you know, but it’s more powerful to know what you don’t.
Too often we opt for news that confirms our beliefs rather than news that challenges our thinking for the better. Taking aim at closed minds, this mixed media film utlises The SMH & The AGE’s stunning photojournalism, combined with bold typography, design and animation. Touching on issues such as racism, sexism and war.

V Energy: Can You Feel It
Agency: Clemenger BBDO Sydney
Production: Sedona & Psyop
Director: Todd Mueller and Kylie Matulick
‘Can you feel it’ is the new brand platform for V Energy, which plays of nostalgia culture to not only bring back the famous V Bugs but also a bit of Wham. The animated film features original character design, environment matte paintings and 3D character animation, lighting, rendering and compositing, with an emphasis on photorealistic textures and nuanced performance. Even though a bug lost its life, it was still voted by Australians as one of the top 10 commercials in the last year.

RACV Insurance: Ask Anyway
Agency: CHEP
Production: Sedona
Director: Simon Robson
Ask Anyone’ was a playful stop motion film, which showcases everyday Victorians personal moments and belongings effected by fire, storms, and burglary. Hundreds of props were carefully sourced and animated frame by frame. Utilising three simultaneous tabletop set ups, filmed over two days.
