The Work 2020 Contenders: The Royals

With Cannes Lions and LIA postponed until 2021, Campaign Brief is still out to recognise and showcase the great work that is being produced in the region. So we are introducing The Work 2020 Contenders.

Athena Home Loans: The Call
The Royals
Playing on real-life experiences, ‘The Call’ radio series exaggerates the pain points customers have with their home loan lenders. By having fun with the banter between a call centre rep from ‘Beep Bank’ and a customer, the campaign was able to humourise a range of home loan frustrations experienced by people all over Australia and position Athena as the antidote.

Wild Secrets: Stimulating Package
The Royals
At a time when Australians are spending a lot more time alone inside, online adult retailer Wild Secrets ran a cheeky campaign repositioning sex toys as universal entertainment for everyone stuck at home. Executed across OOH, digital advertising, PR, Social, influencer marketing and eDMs to existing Wild Secrets customers, the first phase of the campaign launched at the same time as the Federal Government’s COVID-19 economic stimulus package and mimicked the look and feel of government advertising to announce Wild Secrets’ ‘Stimulating Package’. The second phase encouraged Aussies to ‘Go F*ck Yourself (for everyone’s sake)’ by staying home and breaking iso-boredom with a little help from Wild Secrets.
