The Mint Partners scoops up six coveted trophies at the PRIA Golden Target Awards 2021

The MINT Partners have been awarded six prestigious Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA) Golden Target Awards, including Agency of the Year – Medium sized and silver for Agency Team of the Year in the 2021 awards.

MINT was awarded three gold awards, one silver and one bronze in the Campaign categories for the design and implementation of Klarna and Westfield – Shop Instore and the Virgin Australia and 7 Eleven Partnership activation, along with the highly coveted Judge’s Choice for Excellence in Measurement and Evaluation – amongst a record field of the industry’s best.

Says Genevieve Taubman, managing director for The Mint Partners: “I am truly delighted by our achievements at this year’s PRIA Golden Target Awards. I am incredibly proud of each and every person on the team who have all delivered consistently outstanding results for our clients, we’ve all banded together to ride the wave of disruption over the last 18 months. The Awards are proof of the power of teamwork, tenacity, positivity and vulnerable leadership – all values we put into practice at MINT.”

When the pandemic first hit and so much of the industry was grounded, MINT’s ELT team including Taubman, co-managing director Brett Galvin and general manager Miranda Bryce quickly stepped up to face the challenge with their dynamic team of 22. Despite the global industry-wide disruption, the agency achieved record revenue cementing 2021 as the agency’s most commercially successful year yet and added a new service category, media buying, to enable client campaigns to be targeted and truly integrated via a multi-platform approach across both paid and earned.

MINT has consistently evolved with the changing landscape, launching in 2007 as press office for the restaurant industry, to now, 15 years later, one of the region’s largest, independent and integrated lifestyle agencies working on local hero’s and the world’s best-known brands.

MINT received the following awards:

GOLD – Agency of the Year, Medium-Sized

JUDGES CHOICE – Excellence in Measurement and Evaluation: Klarna and Westfield

GOLD – Experiential or Activation Campaign category: Klarna and Westfield – Shop Instore
GOLD – Consumer Campaign – Service category: Virgin Australia and 7-Eleven Partnership Launch
SILVER – Agency Team of the Year

BRONZE – Experiential or Activation Campaign category: Virgin Australia and 7-Eleven Partnership Launch

Says Galvin: “After what has been an extraordinarily challenging year for the creative communications industry, and many of our clients who operate in the hospitality, luxury and tourism space, it’s so vital that the industry bands together to call out our achievements and celebrate peer-to-peer as Australia moves forward into recovery. I would like to thank the PRIA for the important leadership role they play in providing professional support and recognition to practitioners and consultants across Australia.”

The awards were presented in a hybrid live/virtual format at Beta Events in Sydney with more than 300 of the industry’s leading Public Relations and Communications professionals and beamed virtually across Australia.
