The Lean Agency Hackathon: In search of the leanest digital agency team or in-house team
The search is on for Australia’s leanest digital team – for both agency & in-house teams, presented by General Assembly Australia.
What is this all about?
There’s a lot of talk in ad land about being lean, ‘agile’ and ‘iterative’, the issue is that a lot of it is just that, talk. And talk is cheap.
Sign up – it’s FREE – and join in for an epic hackathon on May 10th 2013, to prove that your agency or digital team has what it takes to:
1. Come up with a product idea
2. Build a lo-fi demo
3. Get feedback from real users
4. Plan how to get to market and scale
There will be roving General Assembly mentors to help you fix bugs and lend a hand.
The winning team will take home not only the accolade of being the Most Lean Digital Team in Australia, but a General Assembly Trophy and a $1500 scholarship to a General Assembly Course. This will be followed by a great big party!
What is a hackathon?
A hackathon (also known as a hack day, hackfest or codefest) is an event in which teams with various skills get together and create a product or solution in a set amont of time.
Team members can include developers, graphic designers, interface designers and project managers. These teams collaborate intensively on software projects – in this case a web or mobile app.

The hackathon is not just agency teams – in-house teams are welcome too! Battle it out to be crowned the most lean digital team.
