The Jacky Winter Group gives intimate view of artists’ lives via new platform ‘Homeroom’

Illustration agency and production house The Jacky Winter Group has created a new platform to share in-depth and behind-the-scenes content from its artists.

Called Homeroom, the platform provides fans a more personalised insight into artists’ worlds, whilst bolstering their connection to clients during the Covid-19 pandemic.

With some of the world’s most in demand talent sharing intimate studio moments, conversations between each other, detailed tutorials and more; Homeroom is a low-fuss and creative environment that caters to all – from students studying at home to creative directors looking for an inspiration boost.

Says Jeremy Wortsman, founder and director of The Jacky Winter Group: “Homeroom is our response to Covid-19. In March we started working remotely and quickly realised our usual approach to marketing needed an adjustment to suit the new reality. Homeroom provides our artists a custom built platform with social media, design and tech support to connect them to our clients and the greater community. It’s intimate, interesting and accessible for all. Some days we have artists giving detailed tutorials on their process, the next we’re having beers with Mondo Art Directors – it’s a catchall for socialising, creativity, inspiration and information.”

Highlights from recent weeks include:

A process walk-through with Sam Bailey, one of Jacky Winter’s “one-to-watch” from London. An untapped talent in the Aussie market, the artists’ work is an experimental and mesmerising mish-mash of 3D, multi-media and animation. In this video he shows the process behind a recent piece.

A tour of Andrew Fairclough’s studio, an iconic artist and brains behind the most coveted digital Photoshop brushes, True Grit.

A coffee catch up with Ken Taylor and Sonny Day of WBYK, coveted Australian artists who share some hilarious banter via Zoom with friends from all around the world.

A discussion about creating inclusive illustration by Lilian Darmono, a must-see for anyone wanting to ensure they are leading their clients to creating diverse and universal advertising.
