Surf Life Saving Foundation tells the story of the battle on our beaches in new campaign via The Together Society

New work released today for the Surf Life Saving Foundation via The Together Society, shares the physical and emotional challenges, along with the fight against time and the elements, that our surf lifesavers face whenever they make a rescue.

The campaign called “Battle” takes the viewer through the many battles that are faced whenever a rescue is made and has been launched to raise funds for the Surf Life Saving Foundation.

The Surf Life Saving Foundation relies on donations from the general public to keep our red and yellow heroes on our beaches. They are trained in life saving techniques and generously give their time to patrol our beaches, ready to launch into action when anyone is in trouble; often putting themselves in danger to help save others.

Says Priscilla Jeha of The Together Society: “We wanted to tell the story of all the mental (not just physical) challenges that lifesavers go up against whenever they see someone in trouble. What runs through their heads and how they push through and do everything they can make sure a successful rescue is made.”

Says Kelsie Boucher, donor manager at Surf Life Saving Foundation: “Surf lifesavers are Australian icons. Our heroes on the beach volunteer their time and rely on the public’s support to be able to raise the red and yellow flags each day. It’s our generous supporters that make their lifesaving work possible.”

The campaign launches today.
