Suncorp is with Queenslanders through every storm in new campaign via Leo Burnett, Sydney
Summer is around the corner and with it comes increasingly extreme weather, prompting Suncorp Insurance to encourage Queenslanders to prepare for the upcoming storm season with the launch of its newest campaign, “With you through every storm” created by Leo Burnett Sydney.
The campaign is an ode to Suncorp’s history of supporting Queenslanders through the many adversities that have hit the Sunshine State over the past 100 years.
Launching with a film that contrasts the laidback, suburban Queensland lifestyle with the extreme weather events that have hit those same towns over the years, the campaign is a celebration of the resilient spirit that both Suncorp and Queenslanders share.
Building on the Suncorp Spirit platform, the film finishes on a real Suncorp customer, Pam Murphy, and her Suncorp assessor, at the completion of Pam’s rebuilt home, which was lost in the most recent bushfires that hit Queensland’s Sunshine Coast late last year.
Says Mim Haysom, EGM brand and marketing, Suncorp: “We know natural disasters and climate change are an ever present problem. And we know in recent years, almost half of Queensland homeowners have admitted they’ve done nothing to prepare for storm season meaning underinsurance remains one of the State’s largest problems.
“In our latest campaign, we aim to drive home the importance of protecting Queensland families and communities with the help of a local insurance partner that understands their needs.”
The fully integrated campaign is now running across TV, digital, radio, print and social.

Suncorp supporting Queensland – still strange to see the account in Sydney though…
Building a nice little brand here. Feels human and not too hammy like a lot of banks – Nicely done Leo’s
…
hmm I like this. Its subtilty lands
I can’t see how a Sydney agency has been appointed to do the work that a Queensland agency should.
Since the Suncorp work has come from down south, it’s been generic and looks like
somebody NOT from up there made it.
Suncorp should be doing more to support their local Qld industry – and get back to doing good work.
Oh Leo’s Australia, what happened?
Suncorp is with Queenslanders, (unless you work in their marketing dept).
Charter boat ad?….
what charter boat ad?
You wont find it south of the border, Suncorp.
Does Suncorp have to have their pens made in Queensland too? And their TP?
“Sydney”
…wat
But not Qld agencies…
Come up with the abomination of “Money With Sunny”.
I believe it was Publicis Brisbane… Wasnt that just awful.
Maybe Suncorp are trying to make in roads in other states? Something I’m guessing a Queensland agency wasn’t capable of doing. And whose to say Queenslanders don’t work at Leo’s?
However, the work isn’t great by far. This isn’t a state vs state thing, but a good vs bad one.
You hit the nail, they have gone to Sydney because the biggest agency in Queensland (Publicis) could not deliver
It can’t go back to Qld.
The border’s still closed and old Plastic Chook doesn’t look like opening it any time soon.,
