Studio Tonic Gets Louder: Abigail Sie + Ramesh Sathiah join Founder Simon Lister as Partners
Studio Tonic has today announced a major expansion of its team and capability.
Abigail Sie and Ramesh Sathiah are joining the studio as partners alongside founder Simon Lister, building on a relationship with him that spans more than twenty-five years. This isn’t a new alliance – it’s one that’s been a long time coming.
In addition to its advertising work, Studio Tonic now offers audio post-production and bespoke composition for long-form film and television, as well as experiential. Sonic branding and audio strategy round out the offering through sister company Saliō, Sathiah’s partnership with Ralph van Dijk which launched last month. Combined with an already formidable team of composers, sound designers, and producers working from a newly built, world-class facility on the water at Pyrmont, it’s a rare offering under one roof.
They join Simon Lister, Cameron Milne and Jackson Lister in the sound and music team, with Emma Duncan and Laura-Leigh LeBrocque driving production, alongside the studio management team and a long-standing roster of composers.
Says Lister: “My vision for Studio Tonic was to build a space where talented people from different disciplines come together – a creative community, not just a studio. Having Abby and Ramesh join as partners takes that to another level. The range of what we can now offer under one roof is something I’m incredibly proud of.”
Says Sie and Sathiah: “We were looking for a new home. Studio Tonic offered exactly what we were hoping for – an incredible team of like-minded people, and a facility that matches the ambition. It felt right from the first conversation.”
Sie and Sathiah are already taking on new projects.
