Stan invites Australia to ‘Enter the Chat’ in major brand campaign via Clemenger BBDO
Australia’s leading streaming service, Stan, has unveiled its new brand campaign ‘Enter the Chat’, developed in partnership with newly appointed creative agency Clemenger BBDO.
Marking a new era for Stan, the campaign will redefine how Australia’s only locally owned streaming service connects with audiences across both entertainment and sport and will position the streaming service as Australia’s lightning rod for cultural conversation.
The campaign reflects how Australia’s most impactful cultural moments extend far beyond the screen. Whether it is a dramatic season finale debated in group chats, or a game-changing sporting result analysed at the pub, Stan’s curated lineup of premium Originals, world-class Exclusives, and unmissable live sport consistently sparks national engagement.
The nationwide campaign is live today, with a commercial soundtrack by rising Australian punk band Private Wives, and a rollout across TV and BVOD, out-of-home, digital, social and audio.
Says Amanda Laing, Managing Director of Streaming & Broadcast, Nine: “As Australia’s only locally owned streaming service, Stan holds a unique position in the industry. In 2015 when Stan launched, it redefined how Australians consumed entertainment. Stan set the benchmark with a distinctive brand campaign at launch and now, more than a decade later, ‘Enter the Chat’ captures Stan’s undeniable energy, reaffirms our commitment to entertaining and engaging Australians and sparking conversations around the country.”
Says Michelle Chandran, Marketing Director, Stan: “Entertainment doesn’t end when the credits roll or the final whistle sounds, that is where it begins. This campaign marks an incredible milestone for Stan. For over a decade, we have brought Australians the biggest moments across entertainment and sport, building a portfolio that drives national discussion. Television has always been a shared experience, and today’s viewers want to participate in the moment as it unfolds. With ‘Enter the Chat’, we are celebrating that collective energy and reinforcing Stan’s position as the home of unmissable content that everyone is talking about.”
Says Sheryl Marjoram, Co-CEO, Clemenger BBDO: “I can’t wait for this work to be out in the wild. It’s big, energetic and unignorable. Stan truly understands the Aussie need for connection, belonging and cultural participation when it comes to how we like our sport and entertainment. It’s not just content to us, it’s an ongoing conversation and ‘Enter the Chat’ solidifies our position on these matters.

God help us all. They’ve positioned themselves as the most expensive streaming service (inc. sport). I seriously doubt this is going to spur on the masses to migrate off the competition.
Your “enter the chat” advertising is pathetic, definitely hard to understand what those girls are screaming.Surely you can find a better way to push your product….not a fan
I am.ready to cancel my families subscription after beimg screamed at over the past few days to “ENTER THE CHAT’.
Absolutely horrendous advertising campaign. Im.half deaf and find myself grabbing the remote to turn the station off.
I so agree. This ad is one of the most annoying ads – the “singers” are just SCREAMING “ENTER THE CHAT” at us over and over again. I was going to join STAN (we already have Netflix, Prime and Britbox) but watching this ad and being forced to switch the station has changed my mind about joining STAN
This would have to be the most annoying advertisement I have ever seen and heard.
I am pleased we recently left Stan. Your new advert is the most annoying advertisement on TV at present.
The worst screaming advert ever. It’s beyond dreadful.
This is the most annoying and irritating add ever. The yelling makes me want to turn my tv off. I’m already annoyed that I pay for streaming and this add is a reminder of how much money I am wasting. If my husband didn’t insist on the sport I would definitely be unsubscribing.
This advert is truly awful, does not appeal to most and as memorable as it is, it’s only due to the fact of how annoying it is. This may increase brand awareness, but i highly doubt it will increase sales.
The mute button on my TV remote has been getting a workout for the past few days every time this abysmal ad is shown. No idea what these people are shouting about but I don’t watch TV to be screamed at. Worst ad ever. Can’t wait for it to be off the screen.
These adverts are ridiculous & they make me anxious, they are aggressive & I will NEVER sign up with Stan if this is what they think is acceptable.
I have to say that your new enter the chat commercial is the most irritating commercial I’ve ever seen with those women screaming I just want to smash my tv get it off
This ad set is incredibly jarring and irritating. The screaming punk-style lyrics are memorable – for all the wrong reasons.
In fact it’s so memorable, I have cited the ads as the reason for cancelling my Stan subscription in the hope they get the message.
The most annoying adv ever!! I can’t helped to agreed with all the above comments PLEASE delete it!!!
I just want to be able to watch news without people screaming!! Not sure who approved this on the first time!!! No happy!
STOP STOP IT. tbis advert is the most annoying advert EVER!! Make a
Me so so anxious I can’t stand it. Take it off
Well STAN, you just lost me as a subscriber thanks to your bloody annoying TV ad. Job well done idiots!
I have no idea what they are trying to do with this advert. The music is irritating (and trust me, I own plenty of punk records so I’m not turned off by the genre, but this is just some tryhard pastiche of punk music), and it just makes me think, “Stan? No thanks…”
Worst commercial it’s just screaming really want to cancel STAN membership if that’s the best they can come up with to advertise. Don’t know what they were thinking every 5 minutes the ad is on I either have to mute, change channels or turn off tv
STAN remove the commercials you would have better luck with them not on, absolutely every person I speak to hates them
The new Stan commercial has to be the most aggressive annoying commercial. The screaming hits a nerve what I do when it starts the few milliseconds I change the channel I can’t even handle hearing it. I was a subscriber to Stan now I’ve taken it off. Had enough of this terrible worst commercial ever.
The Enter The Chat is the most annoying ad I have seen. It is loud and repetitive and doing my head in. No amount of money will make me subscribe to Stan.
Whoever created this add must be on drugs. Does not even make sense.
Can you stop playing hat stupid annoying Enter The Chat ad every couple of minutes
THIS IS THE MOST ANNOYING AD EVER AND IS DOING THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT THEY INTEND. When this comes on at work it is 25 x louder than any other ad and the screaming annoys every single person. Have even had customers complain about it.
I have to agree with all the comments about these ‘enter the chats ‘ ads.. ABSOLUTE RUBBISH..
gives me a headache every time it’s on .. can’t stand them ..
Annoying AF, if it wasn’t for Drag Race I’d be ditching stan all together
