Wwaay ttoo ggoo Sii.
$iimon.
To much time. To much money.
I’m bloody jealouse.
FANTASTIC! He’s such a spunk!
Cun yoo relly bee sow badd at spelings?
Looks a bit like Neil Finn.
Mark it in your diary…unless you know it all already.
He is one of the best in this biz! His achievements should be applauded. The tall poppy syndrome is something I’ve never understood about Oz. He produced some of the great advertising that people still remember today! How many can make that claim in this business?
Good on him.
i’ve had the privilege of working with siimon and his style is great. something you don’t see in a lot of places – a true manager.
Hey, I’m new to the industry. Can someone tell me why Siimon is spelt with two ‘i’s’.
Is this what i need to do to make it?
Niick.
Sii you are a legend mate!
Great interview- really felt engaged and connected. You’re not still in the romantic market are u? Your thoughts and philosophy on life are commendable and often match my own. Having very recently cared for my mother until she died with terminal cancer I totally agreee with your thoughts on that subject even though it is still very raw and difficult at the moment. Shame more businessmen or even men in general do not think like you.
Niick… You’re a diick!
Niick, in this business you always have to go one better.
I would suggest changing your name by deed poll to Niiick.
Niiick, you could always get a sex change.
Nick – your question is actually quite a fair one. But I suspect the reason you’re getting ribbed for it has a lot to do with using your name to make a joke out of one of this industry’s real legends. Take it or leave it; that’s the blog for you.
I don’t know the guy personally, but he was a guest lecturer when I did Award School some years ago. There are many great things you can learn from Reynolds, not the least of which is that he’s far more than just another adman. His is the story of someone truly immersed in the possibilities of pop culture in its entirety. Which is why I suspect he was long ago boned up on the writing of the OTHER Simon Reynolds — former music journalist for NME, Melody Maker and The Village Voice; author of several acclaimed books on rock and dance culture and possibly the greatest music writer of our time. No kidding.

It pays to step outside of advertising into the sunlight and see what’s actually HAPPENING in pop culture once in a while, don’t you think?
Just ask Siimon.
He’s been a gracious and inspiring mate for 20 years – and I think he’s got a lot more to do with his talents
Genious. He has become a brand himself
“As a child Reynolds was an under-achiever but by his mid-teens had decided he didn’t want to live a life of mediocrity. When he was 17, he met an ‘exotic Chinese woman’ who suggested he spelt his name ‘S-double i-m-o-n’.
“She told me that if I put an extra ‘i’ in my name the numerology would be so powerful I would become famous and successful…with that kind of naivety of youth I went ahead and did it,” he says.”

The guy is also very generous, kind, and caring. He’s almost unreal. I’m so fortunate to be able to work with him. It’s a success in itself to get the first hand interaction with him on a regular basis.
what an amazingly integrated human being….health, wealth and happiness in the conjunction with inner spirit!
karmically must definetely on the way to some amazing reincarnation!!!
