Shoes and Sox appoints The General Store as new agency; launches new ‘Fit Squad’ campaign
Kids footwear retailer Shoes & Sox has appointed The General Store as its creative agency of record. The General Store’s first work for Shoes & Sox launches this week with an integrated national campaign celebrating Shoes and Sox’s unique fit proposition.
Says Matt Newell, CEO at The General Store: “The Fit Squad campaign makes superheroes out of real Shoes & Sox staff, celebrating the brand’s proprietary fitting technique and rigorous team training.”
Says Lisa Shalem, GM, Shoes & Sox: “The General Store offers a unique blend of retail expertise and creative firepower. They were quick to understand our business and have brought our service proposition to life in a way that has loads of swagger without taking itself too seriously. It feels very us.”
The campaign will be the largest in Shoes & Sox’s 32 year history and will run across TV, Cinema, out of home, digital, social and in store across stand alone stores and Myer concessions.
The General Store is an independent retail specialist agency that offers strategy, advertising, design, and store design services. Clients include THE ICONIC, Supercheap Auto, freedom, Allianz and Hamilton Island.

this rules. i just wish there was like some sort of charlies angels x kill bill shoes store when i was growing up. it doesnt matter if kids these days wont get the reference – theyre all too busy flossing on tiktok to care about arch support from the bride or o-ren ishii – because their parents, who have the money, will. just hope they do a r rated version with more blood and swearing.
This is fun. Good casting and craft. I’d like to see how the idea rolled out across some of the other channels.
Please stop.
So cute
Seriously. With over 500 agencies to choose from, why would anyone choose this outfit?
This is seriously lazy.
General Store = Shit Squad
