Semi Permanent to host FREE Art & Design Fair powered by Squarespace at Carriageworks, Sydney, 1-2 June 2023
Semi Permanent Festival of Creativity & Design has today announces the date and venue of its Art & Design Fair, powered by Squarespace, which will take place on Thursday 1st and Friday 2nd June 2023 at Carriageworks, Sydney. Curated by Semi Permanent as part of its flagship Festival of Creativity & Design taking place across the same dates, the fair is a celebration of visual design practice and provides a platform for a broad range of creators to showcase their wares to the Australasian creative community.
Building on the success of last year’s launch, this year’s Semi Permanent Art & Design Fair includes an expanded collection of vendors from across Australia, including independent publishers, large-scale publishing houses and art galleries alongside independent artists, ceramicists, poster designers and digital creators. These include Astrophe Magazine, BTWNLNS, Evi. O Studio, Institute of Modern Art, Journals, MCA Store, Perimeter, Powerhouse Publishing, Soft Stir and Voluptuary Ceramics, among many others.
Several new titles and artworks will be launched exclusively at the Semi Permanent Art & Design Fair, including Nothing I Know Belongs To Me, a monograph celebrating ten years of Christopher Doyle & Co, published by Formist; the sophomore edition of food and literature journal Tart Magazine; a series of fine art prints by Sydney-based 3D/VR artist David Porte Beckefeld, spanning 2020-2023; and 20 Years Forward & Back, a major new published work by Semi Permanent that charts, reflects and refracts a broad spectrum of excellence across multiple disciplines in celebration of two decades of the festival.
The Semi Permanent Art & Design Fair is powered by Squarespace, the all-in-one website building and ecommerce platform. Squarespace empowers millions of entrepreneurs to create an impactful, stylish and easy-to-manage online presence.

In collaboration with Sydney-based strategic brand agency Societal, Squarespace will also host a workshop, titled Cultivating Your Creative Flow State, as part of the festival. The one-hour session will demonstrate how Squarespace’s suite of products helps professional designers operate in their flow state to create more immersive brand experiences. The workshop will feature inspiring analogies, educational components, and case study highlights by Societal’s founder Josh Brown.
