Scoundrel EP Kate Gooden named Commercial Producers Council co-chair

The Commercial Producers Council has announced the appointment of Scoundrel executive producer Kate Gooden as its new co-chair, effective 1 January 2024.

Gooden joins co-chair Martin Box (executive producer, AIRBAG) and fills the vacancy left by Pip Smart, who steps down from her co-chair role after four years of invaluable service under the CPC’s Terms of Reference.

Says Gooden: “I’m honoured to join Martin Box as co-chair of the CPC. Over the past year, the CPC has been a vital resource and pillar of support for its members, and I’m excited to continue the excellent work that both Pip and Martin have upheld in recent years.”

Adds Box: “I’m very much looking forward to working with Kate. Scoundrel has significant business in the Sydney market and she will be a great support to the members and I.

“On behalf of all CPC members, I would also like to thank Pip for her tireless efforts and support of our industry and the CPC over the past four years. It has been fantastic collaborating with her, and I’ve really valued her support and advice along the way.”

Says Smart: “It has been a fulfilling and challenging four years alongside Lucas Jenner and in turn, Martin at the CPC. I thank them both and Melissa Vella, committee manager, for their support and look forward to seeing the CPC continue to grow and flourish and help strengthen our industry. Thanks to Kate for stepping up!”

CPC’s growth has been exponential over the past few years, and now consists of 43 members nationwide.
