Samsung unveils new ‘Another World Awaits You’ campaign for SUHD TVs via Leo Burnett Sydney
To launch a new campaign for its SUHD TV range, Samsung Electronics Australia has released a striking TV commercial via Leo Burnett Sydney, that uses an array of diverse characters to demonstrate the immersive power of SUHD TV.
The ‘Another World Awaits You’ TVC will feature across national TV, subscription TV, cinema and digital locations until the end of November 2015. The creative, which includes 30 and 60 second cuts, casts the viewer in various leading roles – representing different forms of entertainment – with appearances from Vikings, soldiers, astronauts and other characters, to bring his viewing experience to life.
Says Philip Newton, vice president, chief marketing officer, Samsung Electronics Australia: “Using advanced proprietary nano-crystal technology, Samsung’s SUHD TV range pushes the limits of innovation in picture quality, providing an exceptional viewing experience with unrivaled contrast, colour, and brightness. Our new TVC plays to the notion that our SUHD TVs are so immersive that viewers feel like they’re part of the story. We’re very happy to see this brought to life in ‘Another World Awaits You’.”
Says Grant McAloon, executive creative director, Leo Burnett Sydney: “The default option for this sort of brief would be to go for over the top visuals backed up by crazy amounts of CGI. We wanted to counter that and simply play with the idea that great image quality helps entertainment do what it does best: make you feel like you’re part of the action.”
Says Vince Lagana, executive creative director, Leo Burnett Sydney: “Thankfully, Samsung gave us the freedom to push the creative. So when Steve Rogers jumped on board, we felt sure the end result would be wildly different for the category. Given we ended up with an ogre doing burnouts in a muscle car, I think we got there.”

It smelt of Stevie Rogers a mile away. Nice.
Saw this on telly.
I hate ads.
I like this one.
I actually really like this spot. Made me sit up and watch both times I’ve seen it. Not ground breaking by any means (it’s not up there with the Bravia work), just sound advertising.
Fail for not uploading the video to youtube in 4K.
Yup
Blow me down, a farkin Tv ad. And they’r not even calling it ‘video content’. Very well worn strat ‘ puts in in the action’ but very nicely done.
So frickin cool. I keep watching it.
Love this. Crafted to perfection right down to music choice. Well done all.
Sorry what is the idea and why should I buy this product or brand?
A cool Looking fight isn’t enough of a resonds to spend $5, 000. This will not move a single metric for Samsung or whatever new features this ad was ment to inform consumers about.
nice work. well crafted.
I have only four werds – this is truly sick. I thought the days were sadly gone where ads like this were allowed to be made, but this is a standout for the year. Well done Dawso, you bloody legend.
@.?? Bro, the idea is that you’re absolutely trippin. This ad is a fuckin banger.
Why you so cynical bro? Did you not catch last night’s episode of Family Feud? I’ll tell you what happens: The short guy says a joke and people in the audience are paid to laugh.
I just bought a TV and this ad makes me want to buy another one. So STFU.
Cracker barrel cheese of an ad from Leo’s, hurrah!
A bigger story here? Is this new news or have I missed something?

I think the film craft in the execution of this is very good. Very, very good.
Who is the actor in the ad?
