Rise of the Hybrid: 2021’s premier creative event, The Design Conference, has one eye on Brisbane, the other on the world – less than 40 seats left

A highlight of Australia’s creative calendar, The Design Conference has had to level-up its own design this year, switching to a hybrid platform.

A hybrid conference features in person attendees and speakers, as well as attendees from across the world who can now stream and interact online.

Global ticketing platform Tito has claimed ‘hybrid events are set to be one of the biggest trends of 2021.’

TDC founder/ curator Matthew Haynes is confident that this trend is a positive rather than a negative and with the live event tickets almost sold out, it’s opened the door to those who can’t travel to Brisbane to attend as well.

Says Haynes: “Significant challenges require significant resolve and this is what we do best at TDC. It’s as if we’ve been set free to deliver something nobody could have expected.

“I want to acknowledge our event partners and international affiliates for their continued support. The leg work they’re putting in on behalf of their communities is next level. I am continually surprised to learn the locations of people tuning in.”

Delivering the digital experience will be tech platform ‘Orbits’, another Aussie company who are on the rise.

“We’ll be sharing the best creative that Australia has to share with the world and this extends to technology companies like Orbits who are assisting us to share the magic of our speakers and the powerful vibe that an Aussie gathering brings,” says Haynes.

Tackling all topics, Haynes insists his speakers address the audience with honesty and authenticity, a formula that’s a hit among speakers and audience alike, earning nothing but five-star reviews.

With a decade of TDC events under the belt, the rush is still there, “I feel a great sense of pride in delivering such a wonderful experience for many aspiring and established creatives,” says Haynes.

From critically acclaimed strategists to the world’s best creatives, The Design Conference features 20+ world-class Talks (see complete list below), six industry panels, a massive 60 artist exhibition, concluding with a notorious dancy party at X-Cargo.
