Revolver/ Will O’Rourke’s Steve Rogers directs new Super Bowl spot for Amazon ‘Before Alexa’

Amazon has launched a blockbuster spot titled ‘Before Alexa’ via Droga5 London, directed by Australian director and Revolver/Will O’Rourke co-owner Steve Rogers.

The spot features Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi. It begins with Ellen wondering about a time before Amazon’s Alexa personal assistant was always there. The film goes on to show us that very imagined life throughout the ages, spanning from Medieval times dipping in and out of numerous eras all the way up until now.

Steve worked with cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki (Birdman, The Revenant, Gravity) to bring it to life. It was teased last week and will go to air during the Super Bowl.
