Revolver launches new visual identity with renowned Berlin artist/designer Eike König

Australian production company Revolver has worked with renowned artist/designer Eike König at Berlin based HORT to redesign its entire visual communication.

The new identity is a response to the similarity of look between commercial production companies, and aims to create a contrast to this visual uniformity through typeforms that are expressive and entertaining.

HORT has designed a new visual identity, based on Metafont technology, starting with a series of 10 new type systems, used in random order across the visual communication to reflect both the diversity and democracy of the Revolver brand. In acknowledgement of the importance of the company’s on-line presence, the website has been completely redesigned and expanded to ensure each visit is unique, with more than 300 films, each experience is randomised and it is now possible to create bespoke showreel’s within the site itself. The identity’s unique approach to typographic experimentation echoes Revolver’s intention of continuing to explore how stories are told.
