realestate.com.au targets first home buyers in series 2 of How to Home Loan via Glue Content

realestate.com.au has continued its partnership with comedian Jess Harris –twentysomething, Wine – to release a second series of the hugely popular How to Home Loan video series via Glue Content, which explores the frustrations of first home buyers when embarking on their home purchasing journey.

Season two of the tongue-in-cheek educational campaign shines a light on the realities of buying a home and the everyday challenges faced in a humorous, fun and irreverent way. The series, written by and starring Jess, follows on from season one and picks up on her journey six months into her property search.

Says Harris: “The How to Home Loan campaign targets women just like myself with a storyline I hope they can relate to and have a laugh at, and practical advice from the professionals to help empower them when it comes to making property and financial decisions.”

Each episode focuses on different themes including rent-vesting, buying off the plan and alternative ways to get into the market.

Says Eloise Wall, general manager – financial experiences, REA Group: “The message we want to share with first home buyers is that if you’re overwhelmed or if you haven’t been successful straight away, don’t be disheartened.

“Buying a home can be really tough, but there are lots of opportunities and different options first-time buyers can explore to get into the property market. Our role at realestate.com.au is to help Australians on that journey.”

To coincide with the release of How to Home Loan season two, realestate.com.au has also launched a new First Home Buyer Hub with everything these buyers need to know about buying a home and securing finance is in one place, including a dedicated checklist that can be download and used as a step-by-step guide.

How to Home Loan was created in collaboration with Melbourne production agency, Glue Content, and filmed in various locations across Melbourne. The content will be housed on the new First Home Buyers Hub and rolled out across realestate.com.au Facebook and Instagram channels and YouTube pre-roll.

The new episodes are expected to exceed the impressive results achieved from season one, which reached more than 1.9 million Aussies, increased engagement on videos by 500% compared with previous autumn and spring campaign content and drove almost 26,000 visits to the How to Home Loan landing page.
