M&C Saatchi NZ hits the streets for wise advice in new campaign for New Zealand Fire Service
Every year, New Zealanders die from drinking and frying. Countless others have a lucky escape. This campaign, via M&C Saatchi New Zealand, captures real New Zealanders at the end of a big night, who have wisely chosen to eat before heading home.
None of the people interviewed are actors. They’re all genuine people found on the street, who had been drinking and were spotted eating, and asked this question: “What advice would they give to people in their state who are considering going home for a fry-up?”

They’re all genuine people found on the street, who had been drinking and were spotted eating.
They were stopped and asked the question: “What advice would they give to people in their state who are considering going home for a fry-up?”
The answers were honest, slightly garbled and often hilarious.
They’re real words from the wise. Wise because they have chosen to get a feed before heading home.
And they’re presented in a way that you won’t soon forget.
Four 30″ TVCs are being broadcast nationwide and shared on YouTube.
Posters with real quotes from the interviewees are also being installed around the country to support the campaign.

Really depressing.
Ponsonby Road never looked so good.
Nice work, nice insight.
What the fuck? Nice spots, good idea…but is drunk frying really an issue in New Zealand?
Wow.
fark nz’ers are rough bastards
fuck off. Fried egg sandwich, white bread with a slice of fried bread in between.
Can’t buy that at 3am.
There’s going to be some very proud parents around NZ, nice work M&C.
But I don’t eat chups, bru.
I like it, and yes, there are fat fires caused every year by drunks starting to cook then forgetting or falling asleep. Not many, but some.
April fools?
Dolphin tats… it’s funny if you say it in Kiwi.
