Optus launches new ‘Bring your family together’ Optus Family Plan campaign via Yes Agency


Optus has launched a new through-the-line marketing campaign developed by its own in-house creative agency team Yes Agency, to accompany the launch of the new Optus Family Plan – an affordable solution developed for Australian parents who are looking to empower their families to use technology in a positive way.


The campaign idea ‘Bring your family together’ produced by AIRBAG, captures slice of life family moments and the role technology plays in our daily lives.

Families nationwide are now spending the majority of their time at home which means there is naturally an even greater reliance on staying connected via their devices, in turn creating additional pressure for parents to ensure their children are safe online.

Says Mel Hopkins, head of marketing, Optus: “Technology, when used with care, can be a powerful way of creating a positive connection and encourage curiosity, discovery and discussion.

The Optus Family plan connects the family with four SIMs and a massive 250GB of monthly data to share.

It also incorporates a suite of tools at no additional cost that help families ensure positive use of phones and connections – including a subscription to McAfee Safe Family and access to the Optus Cyber Education Hub which contains a range of online safety know-how for parents and kids.

The TVCs will be supported with a radio, retail out-of-home and digital campaign and were filmed pre-lockdown with stringent COVID-19 precautions in place.
