Optus collaborates with Usain Bolt and Mash’d N Kutcher for new music video via Emotive
To welcome the start of summer, Optus has collaborated with Usain Bolt and Australian DJ’s Mash’d N Kutcher to produce a short music video via Emotive, that encapsulates the feeling of summer.
Inspired by Usain’s hometown with a nod to Jamaican reggae, the mix titled Summer Set Free shows Bolt pursuing his other passion – music.
Says Bolt: “I grew up listening to Jamaican music and absolutely love it, so I’m excited to see how people embrace this mix. Working with Mash’d N Kutcher, Optus and some very cool dancehall dancers was a lot of fun and I love what we’ve been able to produce.
“Music can have such a big impact on your mood. Coming in to summer, this song is sure to get people into the holiday and party spirit.”
Says Corin Dimopoulos, head of TV and content, Optus: “With summer upon us, people are out and about more, enjoying the sun and the holidays.
“This also means they are using their mobile data more. The last thing we want Optus customers worrying about is whether they can stream music without going over their data, which is why we’ve put in place data free music streaming on select mobile plans. That means whether you’re at the beach, a friend’s house or visiting family, you won’t have to worry about whether or not you can stream your favourite music.”
For Optus customers on selected mobile plans, they’ll be able to stream music data free with Spotify, Google Play and iHeartRadio all year long.
