New business wins propel national growth for Sentius; three directors appointed – two offices opened – HQ to relocate

Sentius Group has appointed three directors from within the business, in a major internal restructure designed to support and manage a growing team and a raft of recent new business wins including major brands Bapcor Limited, Carpet Call, Footlocker, Henselite, Menzies Art Brands and Precision Retail Group. Adding a layer of leadership to the full-service consulting agency for the first time in almost ten years, the new directors are:

David Bedggood – client strategy and services director:
Bringing exceptional client communications, service delivery and relationship building skills, Bedggood’s enthusiasm and passion for digital marketing is unparalleled and infectious. Demonstrating high level knowledge at both technical and strategy levels, Bedggood is obsessively committed to client outcomes with a focus on quality. As a director, Bedggood will oversee and support Sentius Group’s client managers while continuing to build digital capabilities and best practices.

Scott Robertson – website operations director:
Robertson’s impact and value was immediate after joining Sentius as a website developer in 2016, leading to his promotion to website operations and projects manager in June 2019. In response to an increase in website projects from early 2020, Robertson has adapted, learned and grown as a leader. In his director role, he will steer and expand the website operations team to deliver on project commitments, evolve and improve best practice processes and personally manage selected high-level projects.

Tharindu Gunawardana – SEO director:
Gunawardana has played a key role in elevating our SEO capabilities while leading and building the full-time technical team, since joining Sentius in 2018. Operating at the highest level of SEO knowledge and strategic thinking, Gunawardana is able to balance client requirements with best practice, while remaining calm, objective and focussed – the hallmarks of a great leader. In his director role, Gunawardana will continue to evolve and manage this critical area of digital marketing.

The full-service consulting agency will also relocate to new Southbank premises in March 2022, as part of a national growth plan that has already seen two new offices opened in Sydney and Brisbane earlier this year. Featuring stunning river and city views, the new Sentius HQ will be 40% larger than the current Queens Rd office and a big step-up in both location and facilities according to CEO, Mark Fraser.

Says Fraser: “Due to a number of significant new business wins, a 35% increase in staff since March 2020 and more clients and new hires in pipeline – there was an immediate need to restructure and expand our operations. We have implemented an experienced management team to deliver on a wide range of strategy, branding, website development and digital marketing projects and campaigns and opened two support offices in NSW and Queensland.

“To be in a position to promote senior staff and upgrade our offices is a testament to our ability to not only survive but thrive though these challenging times. A complete rebrand and new website will also be launched in the first quarter of 2022, as we continue to evolve our marketing and strategy offerings in response to the changing needs of our clients and the market.”
