Netflix ANZ appoints Internet-first creative agency Snack Drawer to roster of agencies

Snack Drawer, the internet-first creative agency, has been appointed by Netflix ANZ to manage its editorial content and social media.

Snack Drawer will be responsible for Netflix ANZ’s social account to drive conversation across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and podcast channels. Snack Drawer was founded in 2020 by Jamie Searle (ex-Thinkerbell and Brave Bison) and Hannah McElhinney (ex-Vice Media).

As a direct result of recent business growth, Snack Drawer is hiring for three positions dedicated to the Netflix ANZ account; a chief of staff, an editorial lead and a content creator who will join an existing team of creators and social media executives. The dedicated Netflix ANZ team will work directly with the Netflix ANZ client, with executive oversight from Snack Drawer co-founders Jamie Searle and Hannah McElhinney.

Snack Drawer Managing Director Jamie Searle says: “We are thrilled to be working with one of the most recognisable and exciting entertainment brands in the world. Netflix is ubiquitous in the cultural conversation in Australia, and we are delighted to be able to help facilitate that with content creation across social and podcasting.”

Says Hannah McElhinney, chief creative officer, Snack Drawer: “It’s so unbelievably wild to be working with Netflix ANZ across all their socials, especially with upcoming local productions on the horizon. It’s an exciting time for ANZ entertainment and pop culture already, and working with a brand that’s at the forefront makes it even sweeter.”

Netflix is the latest addition to Snack Drawer’s growing client roster, including: NBCUniversal, Eucalyptus, Smiling Mind, Swinburne University and Wanderlust. Most recently, Snack Drawer was recognised as Best Boutique Agency 2021 and also took out the pinnacle award of Most Influential 2021 at the inaugural AiMCO Awards held in February this year.
