Multi-awarded Aussie expat Jackson Harper named Creative Director at BBDO New York

The former Clemenger BBDO Melbourne creative and creator of the highly awarded Snickers Hungerithm has just been named Creative Director at the agency, after previous stints at R/GA and Droga5, New York.

 

Jackson has been ranked in the top 20 Most Awarded Art Directors globally by the Big Won Global rankings and 8th in the global Cannes Art Director rankings. His “Snickers Hungerithm” campaign was named AdWeek Media Campaign Of The Year, recognized as the 5th Most Awarded Campaign Globally by The Big Won Report and was recently named as one of Australia’s Campaigns of The Decade by Campaign Brief .

His work for Snickers helped Clemenger BBDO be crowned D&AD and Cannes Agency of the year in 2017 – the first time any Australian agency has received this honor.

After a brief stint at Droga5, he has been at R/GA New York for the last 2 years where he worked across Samsung and ESPN. During his time at the agency he helped create the Samsung ‘Galaxy Skin’ campaign that went on to win numerous awards including a D&AD Yellow Pencil and was inducted into the permanent collection at MOMA.

He was also in charge of leading the ESPN NBA account and helped create ‘House of 98’ – a website straight out of 98’ to celebrate Michael Jordan’s final 1998 NBA season and the launch of the hugely successful documentary – The Last Dance.

Jackson’s work has been recognized at all the major creative and effectiveness awards shows with over 100 awards to his name. He will be reporting to fellow Aussie expats and Executive Creative Directors at BBDO NY – Philip Sicklinger and Alex Booker.
