Mirabella switches on agency support with DPR&Co as new creative agency

Melbourne-born lighting company Mirabella has appointed full-service advertising agency DPR&Co as its agency of record.

The Mirabella family opened its first store on Lygon Street in the 1960s, not long after emigrating from Italy. Sixty years later the family-run business has grown into a well-known market leader in supplying globes and lighting to major supermarkets, department stores, retail outlets and trade.

Now managed by second-generation leaders director, Angelica Longhitano and general manager, Vince Mirabella, the company recently met with a number of agencies to find an external partner that could provide the right business expertise for a bright future.

Says Longhitano: “We’re ready for our next phase of growth and wanted the services of a strong, integrated partner who we know would appreciate and respect our history, our humble beginnings and our parents’ hard work.

“It was apparent early that DPR&Co was clearly a capable firm. What was important to us however, was having a partner that understood us and aligned well with our culture and values.”

DPR&Co co-founder and managing director Domenic Brasacchio says his team is thrilled to be supporting another iconic Australian business with an incredible track record: “DPR&Co has a high degree of respect for hard-working Australian family businesses, and we’re honoured to have the opportunity to operate as part of Mirabella’s extended team as we support the brand’s evolution.”

Brasacchio says they will be flicking the switch on a range of projects in the coming months.
