Building on last year’s ‘Save the Date to Vaccinate’ activity, UM and Powered, has brought in Mia Freedman to be the face of the campaign, a first for Freedman.

The campaign re-affirms the importance of ‘on-time’ immunisation for kids across NSW and uses TV, digital and segments on Channel Nine’s Mornings to highlight tools that help mums keep on top of their vaccination schedules via a free mobile app.

The TVC, featuring Freedman, has been produced by Nine Entertainment Co.’s in-house production team 9mm and will be on air from September 15.

Says Freedman: “I’m so proud to be involved in this initiative. Vaccination is such an important issue – the Mamamia Digital Network of women’s websites has always campaigned strongly for increased awareness of the need to immunise our kids.

“The ‘Save the Date’ app is a genius way to help parents manage the immunisation schedule for their kids.”

Says Deborah Hyland, director of strategic relations and communication at NSW Health: “The Save the Date to Vaccinate campaign reinforces the importance of timely vaccinations for babies and young children. The free ‘Save the Date’ app provides an ongoing support tool to help parents to protect their children from serious disease by vaccinating the kids on time.”
