McDonald’s rolls out the green carpet for Shamrock Shake in new campaign via Akcelo

McDonald’s has launched the Shamrock Shake in Australia for the very first time. To spread the word, McDonald’s Australia has rolled out a fully integrated campaign created by Akcelo.

 

The cult-favourite drink, popular overseas for nearly 50 years, arrives just in time for St. Patrick’s Day.

The new campaign introduces Aussies to Uncle O’Grimacey, a classic McDonaldland character.

Says Amanda Nakad, Marketing Director of Menu and Brand for McDonald’s Australia: “When the Shamrock Shake makes its annual appearance across the globe, the response we get from fans here in Australia is overwhelming.

“So now we’re painting the town GREEN! Head into your local restaurant right now to give this iconic shake a go before it’s gone.”
