They throw a lot of cash at creating automotive wallpaper. Just use a fraction of that budget to do something interesting… then put out a press release.
The CX3 spot is nice. Certainly better than a lot of what we’re served up.
Production on the first ad is real lush.
agree with mr snooze, pretty boring executions…
You’ve clearly never worked on an auto brand.
Big ticket item = “Show me the sheet metal”
No one’s dropping ten’s of thousands of dollars on something hidden under layers of kooky creative.
Yeh Honda surreal dream, Toyota Landcruiser Emergency Network, Volkswagen Naked Ute, Mercedes Tough Talks… seems like Mazda’s the only brand not doing anything interesting locally.
Yep. Because Ford, Holden, Hyundai, Kia, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Renault, Lexus, Isuzu and Suzuki are killing it too. Get real. Auto is more than TV ads and video content made for an audience of not many. Yeah interesting work is good work and no excuses but the only sustained ‘advertising’ that on its own seriously moved the sales needle on a brand in recent years was ‘I bought a Jeep’. And that was just four words said in the right order.
