Havas Group ANZ has today announced the appointment of Marco Villella as its head of talent.

Villella brings a wealth of knowledge and specialist experience to his new role, having worked for GroupM (WPP AUNZ) for more than four years as talent acquisition lead and prior to that IPG Mediabrands and Hart Resources Group.

In his previous positions, Villella was responsible for talent acquisition across GroupM’s agencies EssenceMediacom, Mindshare, Nexus and Wavemaker. He brings 12 years’ people and talent experience to Havas, having worked across global media and creative agencies as well as local specialist advertising and media recruitment agencies.

In this newly created role Villella’s remit will involve overseeing the talent product and Havas’ people experience journey. He will partner with Havas’ leadership team to support the people and talent strategy across the Havas Village and wider network, including Havas Media, Havas Play, Havas Host, Havas Red, Havas Blvd, Havas New Zealand, One Green Bean, Organic Pacific, H/Advisors APA, Bastion Brands and Frontier.

Says Candice Veasey, chief people officer at Havas: “Marco is an exceptional talent who brings with him a wealth of experience in his field. He is a great addition to our People Team, and I look forward to a successful journey together seeing all of his valuable contribution across the Havas Village.”

Says Villella: “I am immensely excited to work alongside Candice and Havas’ agency leadership to continue to create meaningful and impactful careers. Havas continually invests in its people, and I feel honoured to be part of this investment which will allow us to attract, nurture and engage the best talent our industry has to offer.”

Villella has already started in his new role as head of talent, based in the Havas Village in Sydney, reporting to Veasey.
