Leo Premutico takes listeners into the synapses of his brain in latest Black T-shirts podcast ep

This week’s episode of The Black T-shirts podcast sees Aussie expat creative genius Leo Premutico, founder and creative chairman at Johannes Leonardo join Brent Smart and Adam Ferrier for a chat.

Premutico takes listeners into the synapses of his brain as he pulls apart the role of the consumer in his advertising, and how he leads them down a creative path so compelling they want to hang around and play with his ideas.

Premutico, charts a path from inquisitive kid with gelled fringe to creative success with curly hair (although he denies this his curly hair has had anything to do with his success – we’re not so sure).  Premutico also unpacks the success Johannes Leonardo, one of Americas top ‘A List’ agencies has had, and how his earlier experiences at BMF and Colenso BBDO shaped his future success.

Smart and Ferrier also put Premutico’s work ‘Original is Never Finished’ for Adidas Originals to a focus group.  The work won Grand Prix at the Cannes Lions, however the focus group ripped it to shreds.

Black T-Shirts is a podcast that celebrates creativity in the industry – as they like to say it’s XXL creativity for marketers. Other guests featured to date include industry provocateur Cindy Gallop, Mat Baxter, CEO of Huge, Ben Tollett, ECD of Adam&EveDDB and co-creator of the John Lewis Christmas ads, and Claudine Cheever, VP global marketing Amazon.
