Leo Burnett, Chicago creates ‘a history of mayhem’ in Allstate Super Bowl ‘Apple’ spot
What do the greatest calamities in human history have in common? In “Apple,” a humorous Super Bowl spot for US insurer Allstate, via Leo Burnett Chicago, it seems the answer may lie with Mr. Mayhem himself.
In production, the creative team at MPC collaborated with Epoch director Phil Morrison the spot, the first in a five-part campaign, which casts the mischievous Mr. Mayhem at the center of the Garden of Eden’s iconic apple-eating scene.

Quality campaign. But I can’t help but think that I preferred it before it got the Superbowl treatment.
It was subversive and comically dark when it launched. But trying to make it ‘epic’ enough for the superbowl removes something important.
Dean Winters is a fucking good actor. Life’s easy for US agencies when they have the depth of acting talent that they do.
